Harvey Cassidy, MD

CassidyDr. Cassidy is a graduate of The Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania.

He became Chair of Family Medicine at Geisinger and subsequently became Chair of Family Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Florida. Dr. Cassidy has received numerous awards for teaching including being named twice as “Teacher of the Year” for the Department of Family Medicine at Mayo Clinic, the “Exemplary Teaching Award” from the Florida Academy of Family Physicians, the “Outstanding Educator of the Year” award from Mayo Clinic, and the Mead-Johnson Award for Graduate Medical Education.

He has served on certification/recertification committees for the American Board of Family Medicine. He has also been honored with the “Distinguished Clinician Award” by Mayo Clinic. He has been an active member and presenter for the “Communication in Health Care Committee” at Mayo Clinic.
