NON-OPIOID SKILLS TRAINING FOR A PATIENT-CENTERED APPROACH TO PREVENT CHRONIC PAIN AND ADDICTION
Are you having difficult conversations with your patients on the topic of opioids and pain management?
Would you like to learn ways to navigate those conversations with empathy and compassion — to achieve success?
In this one-day CUE course, healthcare professionals learn necessary skills to change the conversation around chronic pain management, by Connecting with the patient, creating a deeper Understanding of his/her overall health and then Engaging the patient in non-opioid alternatives (CUE). Participants will practice skills to create trust, compassion, and patient empowerment leading to a successful and sustainable non-opioid pain management approach. The course is led by faculty from the Institute of Healthcare Excellence.
Coupled with changing the conversation, participants will be able to offer patients the Personalized Activated Care and Training (PACT) program. This program uses both telehealth coaching and a digital training platform to help patients manage their pain. Use of PACT with your patients allows you to provide preventative medicine counseling, which is reimbursable, hence supporting your practice while improving your patients’ outcomes.
